Chapter 7: Backing up and Restoring

For a successful attempt, please mod your Xbox in the same order as this chapter is shown.

Backup / Restore Features

Once the SID main menu has loaded, the first option you will want to use is the backup features. It is important that you create a MS backup before doing anything, this way you can easily restore the backup if anything goes wrong.

After your MS backup you can choose to back up your Eeprom. To do this click on the Backup Eeprom function, and follow the prompts. As default, SID makes all the backups to E Drive, so when asked where you would like to store your Eeprom backup, you might as well choose E Drive.

Removing the Softmod

There is an option in the main menu (check the screenshot in Chapter 5) which will restore your Xbox’s C Drive to a clean MS Dash. This of course is only if you have a MS Backup made prior to your Xbox being softmodded.

Once you turn off your Xbox and restart, it will be back to a non-modded state.
